Paris//day 2: i think i've gained a pound

Bofinger!! class all the way. the ultimate brasserie.
quite possibly one of the best meals of my life.

le vin. on a silver platter. but of course.

the decor - c'est tres jolie

il flottante
a dessert of fluffy meringue floating atop a pool of creme anglais,
brushed with almond shavings.
yes, please.

our classy dining companions.
she was from amsterdam, with a house in paris.
but.of.course.

Le Marais - 'wall art'

Les Vosges
where all the pretty young things bask

more Les Vosges
orange-tipped trees

Le Marais
the Nolita of Paris

Le Marais - people watching
a sight for sore eyes and tired feet,
while waiting 45 min in line for the best falafel
(see below)

2 falafels please

the crowd clamoring for falafel
(it's really that good)

day 2 highlights: waiting in line for 45 minutes for the best falafel i have ever tasted. heart-shaped steak tartare at Bofinger. walking around le marais, the 'soho/nolita' of paris. nite shots of the paris streets. pain au chocolat.

i've noticed how "beige" the buildings are...sounds bland but it's actually kind of beautiful. of course, it helps that every building facade has a filagree iron balcony, plants, and arched windows. cobblestone streets always add a special touch.

le marais was fun...bustling and crowded on sundays, it's full of beauty in the shops, people, landscape...

place des vosges...great lawn with a fountain, spotted several a hipster...but that just seems to be most of paris. everyone takes pride in the essence of beauty. minimal makeup, true beauty, naturally hip are les filles and garcons. even the grandmas and grandpas stay eternally elegant and well dressed.

i shall drool more on wednesday. pictures to be posted soon, although they don't do paris any justice. bon nuit.
