Barcelona//tapas? YES. PLEASE.

THE hot spot for tapas


crowded. standing room only.
were we up for it??

just LOOK at the wines
we opted for beer, however.
cold, delicious, exclusive quimet&quimet beer.
i'll have to do the wine next time.


clams, creme fraiche (i think), pickles, cheese, honey and balsamic
drizzled atop crispy, perfect, round toast.
made fresh in front of our eyes.
i could've had a million of them.


red pepper, shrimp, black caviar, cheese (i think), drizzle of balsamic
atop the signature toast...mmm


cheese plate, meat plate, bread plate...after our toasts.
needless to say, we took the liberty to pig out.

our server. super busy.


our server got mad at me for asking what cheese we were eating:
her: "all these questions, you ask me so many questions, just EAT!"
me: "sorry, it's just all so delicious, i want to know...but ok."

she also wouldn't give us forks when we requested them for the toasts. (a resounding "NO!") she insisted we use our hands.
when in barcelona...

so my good friend Pat highly recommended tapas at Quimet & Quimet.
best. idea. ever.
problem is, I've been craving this kind of food since being back, knowing I will not eat anything close to this good unless I make another trip to Barcelona.
